OK since I'm still new here I'm going to use this and...try to post some links or something.
I don't see any useful buttons though when I'm about to post something. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong place?

I dunno if it's different for IE users, but Firefox doesn't have much of an interface. You have to enter emoticons and links manually, if you know how to do that. It would be nice if the forum had a list of supported emoticons, but if there is, I've never seen it.

Ah, well, since I'm here, welcome to the forum. Have fun, and don't let some of the grumblies discourage you.

Never found anything there that does anything. It says all options are enabled, but I don't know where...so what I have to do if I want to italicize is do it with manual HTML. If I want emoticons, I have to enter the keyboard shortcuts. So rolleyes enclosed in colons, HTML commands enclosed in < > carot brackets, and the standard wink and smile shortcuts. Still haven't figured out changing fonts, colors, etc., but I haven't really given that too much effort.
