Highlights of week one...the Packers off a SB win i didn't predict looked Super in beating up the Saints who may go another 40 years or so in between SB WINS....Cam Newton who i had some doubts about goes for 400 plus yds in his debut. WOW. And Tony Romo, the hometown QB broke a few hearts in Dallas with what may have been the worst choke job of an athlete i have seen in sometime in handing the OVERATED Jets a come from behind 14 points in the 4th quarter win.

Cam has now played back-to-back games at that (Phoenix) stadium, where his record now stands at 1-1.  Interestingly enough, he had a much better game statistically in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals than he did in last January's BCS Championship win!

CAM'S Panthers play the defending SB winning Packers this week. There are no Southern Miss games on the NFL schedule for the # 1 PICK.

And Tom Brady came close to breaking Norm Van Brocklin's ages old passing yardage record. I was rooting for that.

Now for the Chargers in Foxboro. I'd love to see Brady shred the Chargers D.

Brady has been amazing, but best by far of this generation is very debateable.  Peyton Manning certainly has had a Hall of Fame career with the Colts. It just is not the same without him playing and if he is out for any significant period of time, it is highly doubtful that the Colts will go 11-5 the way the Patriots did a couple of years ago when Brady was out.

The Patriots have always had a stout defense and a semblance of a running game of some sorts. The Colts are fairly one dimensional and without Manning throwing 35-45 passes a game they may win 3 games this year. Ask 32 NFL gm's who they would take, Brady or Manning. I would say it would come out around 24-8 Brady. Brady 3 SB's won, Manning one and honestly the 18-0 Patriots of a few years ago should have been Brady's 4th SB win putting him up there with Terry Bradshaw and the dominant Steelers of the 70's.

Joe Montana had the 80's and Troy the 90's and now it's been Brady for a decade.

The current guy holding down the huddle in Dallas just won't get it done and as soon as Jerry realizes this the better. For such a smart businessman Jerry makes a lousy GM.
