| I don't know if any of you have this problem, but recent Sweetheart videos are not playing properly on my DVD player. What happens is they start out allright then usually on the last segment the image freezes at the beginning and stays that way. I have a region-free JVC player (can't remember the model no.), but the same things happens when I play them on my work DVD player (also a region-free JVC) and my computer. The problem discs are: Mother Lovers Society 1 & 2, Lesbian Confessions 4, Lesbian Adventures: Wet Panties, and Lesbian Truth or Dare 2. The older titles all seem to play fine! I wonder if Sweetheart changed the way they make DVDs? I would be curious to hear if anyone else has this problem. |

Yes, there definitely seems to be a production problem with Mother Lovers Society and Lesbian Hitchhikers. So far Lezlove has sent us a replacement for MLS (which is a good video BTW) but strangely it has the identical defects: It freezes at exactly the same frame partway into Scene 3. As with the first copy, you cannot advance beyond the freeze-frame or reverse from it. You can eject the disc only by rebooting the player. The first time, as a workaround, we reloaded the disc and selected Scene 4, which played for a few minutes and froze. The replacement DVD also freezes at the same frame. The fact that the defect is repeatable clearly identifies the disc as the source of the problem. The player is OK; older DVDs from SHV work fine. SHV is a great studio. We hope they can get this fixed pretty soon. |

The only technical problem that I can say that I have ever experienced with some Sweetheart DVDS is that the volume comes in very low. I find myself having to crank up the volume, so as to hear the soundtrack better. Fortunately, it has not occurred too frequently, but it is rather frustrating when it has happened. Outside of that, watching Sweetheart DVDS is a most enjoyable experence . |

Well, I see this has happened to at least one other person, so I know I'm not crazy! I guess I'll just watch the scenes that don't freeze, but it really sucks that for some Sweetheart titles, I can't watch the entire DVD. I am also reluctant to buy any of the newest titles. Thank goodness I have such a huge backlog of Sweetheart and other titles that I'll be okay for a long time without having to buy any new titles for awhile. |

| I just saw a review of Lesbian Babysitters 2 by Kat in which she complained "the DVD kept sticking in the DVD player." There is something wrong with Sweetheart Video DVDs. Nica, any answers? |

| Hi Ish: I remember this being an issue once before, and it turned out that the DVDs we were using were the "latest" kind that sometimes didn't work well on "older" units. But it sounds like that's not the problem here. I followed up with Jon a week or so ago and he said he was looking into it, but have you not received any follow up emails from the corporate office? If you haven't I'll talk to Jon about it again tomorrow when he gets back to town. He's always juggling ten million balls, but he's a really great guy and I know he takes this seriously. I'm sorry for the delay and I'm extra sorry that this problem exists in the first place. Not a good thing. I promise you we'll figure it out and replace your copies with ones you can play. |

New theatrical DVD releases play and interact flawlessly on our equipment, so the problem's not at our end. Lesbian Hitchhikers and Mother Lovers Society are in fact the only new DVDs we've ever purchased that have frozen like that. Lezlove Video gave us a refund after sending (promptly, and at no charge) an identically defective replacement copy of MLS. Their customer service is superb...but it's not their fault! We like SHV's directing as well as their actresses, so much so that we can even live with that muffled audio (no pun intended)...but it's time to step up and fix this. |

| You're absolutely right, there is no question about it. We have fixed the audio problems (bad boom mic - it's been replaced. Sorry.) But I am stumped as to what is causing this other issue. I emailed the corporate office again this morning, and please feel free to keep up with me about it. I want to know when it gets solved. I'll do my best to speed the process up, but again, I'm in the dark as to what is causing this. |

| At least Tony in the West got money back! I got nothing! I ordered from vendors other than Lezlovevideo.com and they weren't as accomodating about refunds, especially since the problem is wth the video producer. In these fiscally troubling times, I simply don't have the money to purchase defective DVDs and not get refunded. |
