Here is the site's description of itself:

This is a world of guilty pleasure,
of lust and shame, temptation
and desire, submissive women
who need control.

These are not women from pornoland.

This is not the San Fernando Valley.

This is the dark, forbidden
shadowland of twilightwomen.

The content within this site was designed for the connoisseur of erotica.

In this Internet age especially, we can capture the depiction of virtually everything sexual. And every subject has been taken to extremes. We think that's great, but it is not our intention to be in competition with all that. From the very beginning our projects tried to focus on two ideas that we would like to see come back into erotica that seem to us almost completely non-existent in current fare, no matter how well done otherwise.

One is character development, the slow evolution from one state of mind to another
that is believable and real.

The second is the depiction of sexual activity of whatever nature as worrisome
behavior that is conflicted, full of guilt and shame.

In a word, drama. We have tried to inject this drama into our films.

Here is info on the director: Div For'e.

Div For'e is celebrating the life and work of Joe Sarno - the great exploitation director and an influence on twilightwomen films. Here's to Joe

I absolutely don't want to cut off a new thread about this fascinating site - let's talk! - but there have been some previous discussions you may want to refer to - a little here (last page) and much more here:

Rebecca Brooke as Laura.

Not to forget the appearance of the lovely Rebeca Brooke in his movies.  Porn directors who aspire to be "erotic" or to provide adequate non-hardcore visuals, set ups and the like, should do  well, especially self-proclaimed "filmakers" -to watch Sarno's films and actually learn from them,  like Laura's Toys. Just the visuals of the clothed characters are enough to to create a sexy as hell atmosphere . Combine that with hardcore and you could have adequate keepers , instead of the many hyperbolic misses that we get to sample. Sarno wold do his soft-core sex scenes by shooting  the performers doing actual sex but not showing penetration, for realistic efffect, instead of the frustrating Skinmax style.  While free to shoot the hardcore, today's aspiring auteurs should imitate his editing and shooting and visual tease and preambles to the sex. Bear in mind that he was able to use even porn performers to act reasonably well and is one of the people who wrote the low budget sex book.

Funny, I was just speaking of toys elsewhere on this forum......

It's excellent that director Div For'e is getting some recognition for his deft touch with twlightwomen movies. Perhaps much of the drama, pacing and intensity that we're all longing for in our porn can only be accomplished with a firm hand and clear vision, as bravocharlie recently alluded to.

"Laura's Toys" is a great example. I was utterly bewitched by the sensual, bratty Rebecca Brooke in this movie. The lesbian encounters between Laura and her former sapphic lover Hanni, as well as the scenes where Laura introduces Anna to the pleasures of the female flesh are must-sees for all sapphic connoisseurs and fans of Sarno's sexploitation masterpieces.

It's a boon to us horndogs that Div For'e recognized something worth emulating and developing (bringing back?) in Sarno's style. This quote from a review of "Laura's Toy's" could just as easily have been said of Div For'e's work for twilightwomen:

"Similarly, in his refusal to go in for gynecological close-ups, the director creates a palpably erotic climate. In forcing the viewer to use their imagination, Sarno skillfully avoids the repetition that mars so many films of this ilk, which tend to fall into a predictable pattern of foreplay, unlikely sexual acrobatics and inevitable popshot finales. The approach works: the close-up of Cathja Graff's face contorted with pleasure is far more sexually dynamic than the usual close-up of (Eric Edwards) groping at her genitalia." - http://www.eccentric-cinema.com/cult_movies2007/lauras_toys.htm

In particular, I love to see attention paid to the faces of the women - whether they're in conflict or in the throes of ecstasy. Some great sapphic stills from Laura's Toys below w/ the familiar face of TW's Ann Ampar thrown in for good measure!
