Currently, I am in the process of watching Season 2 of 'The Girlfriend Experience.' It is split between two storylines. But the infinitely hotter one is the relationship between Erica and Anna.

The story initially focuses on Anna (Louisa Krause), an escort with apparently mixed feelings about her work and then shifts to center on Erica (Anna Friel), a DC powerbroker who shuttles money through her super PAC. The connection is intriguing. Anna is a whore, but so is Erica, albeit for very different reasons and sums of money. “Erica & Anna” is a steely, dispassionate dissection of sex as power, and it has been quite an engrossing story to this point. And most importantly for lezlovers, their erotic interaction thus far has been very exciting to watch.

And from what I understand based on what little I have read without spoilers, the plot and sexual tension figures to get even more intense with the arrival of Erica’s ex Darya (Narges Rashidi) in upcoming episodes. Stay tuned.

That definitely sounds interesting, Lezfriend!

You know, I have always wondered why companies like Girlsway, Sweetheart Video, and/or even Girlfriends Films couldn't move in this direction, making an entire video based on the relationship between a beautiful escort and a powerful female CEO who is attracted to her - as opposed to silly-assed ongoing plots involving "Mother/Daughter Exchange Clubs!"

The two women in this series (Erica & Anna) are seemingly only a small part of this particular show - which is a SHAME as they sound like the part that could make an excellent television series all on their own! I was looking at some of the USER REVIEWS for this show on the imdb web-site, and came upon the following comments from a viewer who said it was a show built primarily around tasteful-yet-pornographic sex scenes:

"The second season has been even more blatant with the "Erica & Anna" episodes being nothing more than one "hot lesbian action" scene after the next. People claiming they're watching this show for its plot or character development sound about as believable as those who used to claim to read Playboy for its articles."

Another reviewer (named Vivian) was much more critical, especially of that second season as mentioned above:

"Season 2 is a mess.....it is uncomfortable and just plain boring to watch."

I'm guessing that Vivian isn't all that into girl/girl scenes.

- I'm always happy when mainstream video producers & directors include girls together with other girls - but I'm guessing not everybody feels as we do!

Yes indeed Anon. Vivian does not sound like she is into lesbian content at all. Lol.

Season one of 'The Girlfriend Experience', which was comprised of an entirely different set of characters than season 2 had only a brief lesbian encounter in episode 2 between two escorts who were friends that unfortunately did not escalate into any kind of consistent, developed storyline.

But season 2 has been a different story to this point. Insofar as Erica and Anna's saga, it is unfortunately every other episode and like every GFE episode, it is only about 30 minutes long. However, that is a trade I am willing to make if overall time is sacrificed in exchange for eroticism. Sometimes as the saying goes 'less is more.'

We will see what direction(s) GFE goes from here, as there definitely looks to be additional sparks flying with the arrival of Erica's ex.

But regardless I do agree that there is potential here for one of the g/g companies to do an erotic feature using this storyline of a blossoming romance between an escort and a powerful female CEO.

I liked the first season a lot, and was afraid it was going to go all After-School-Special on us and she'd get murdered or die of a drug overdose or some crap. She does (spoiler alert) lose her job, and it's not all sex and champagne, but it's not a morality tale or anything so pedantic. It was well done and intriguing, and yes, very blatantly sexual. Yes, totally different cast, and it only focused on one person, Christine (Riley Keough, who was great and very understated) and her journey from intern accountant.

The second season is split btw two storylines that may or may not converge (and they've shown no signs of doing so, so I don't think they will). But yes, the "Erica and Anna" story is very good, and they don't hold back on the eroticism. The story is intriguing for the reasons LF mentioned.

The Bria story is less interesting, but worth watching. She's kind of too much a victim for my tastes, and really isn't an escort anymore. It's more of a "thriller", if you want to pigeonhole it. I'll leave off the spoilers, in case someone wants to check it out.

I agree with you about Riley Keough (who BTW is Elvis Presley's granddaughter in an interesting note of trivia) in Season 1 of 'The Girlfriend Experience.' But a glaring difference to me between Keough's Christine storyline in season 1, as opposed to Erica and Anna's in season 2 is that in season 1 outside of the first 2-3 episodes, there were not any developed, lasting female relationships (g/g sex scenes or meaningful interactions) between the women, which carried through the season.

The fact that Erica and Anna's relationship has expanded into the personal sphere with the added bonus of the arrival of Anna's ex sweetening the pot rather than just making everything solely revolve around Anna's profession as an escort as its centerpiece makes it more interesting to me than Christine's story in season 1 or Bria's in season two. But that assessment is probably more of a reflection of my affinity (bias) for g/g relationships rather than any direct, objective plot analysis or comparison.
