We now support clips in both Real Media & Windows Media Format.  We will be adding more and more WMVs shortly.  In most cases people won't have to wait to download the entire clip, WMV's stream the video right away provided your connection is fast enough.

Got a question for ya...

I downloaded the Realplayer version at the top. It took a 10 minutes or so because I am on dialup. When the first little box closed, the box in the upper left corner of the screen opened. This one has the Realplayer logo and the little timer like thingy going around. Then this box showed that the clip was loading. After a while it played for awhile until the clip progess bar caught up with another loading bar, then it quit.

I next downloaded the WMP version and it went right ahead a played after loading. If I play a clip that I previously downloaded on my backup computer on this new 8400 it works correctly. Not sure if I am doing anything wrong, but the new choice of formats would be helpful. Now...if there was a way to save some of the movie clips that other members post. Thanks for any info....

1- Login so you have access to the clips
2- On 'View Movie Clip' (in any format) 'right click' your mouse and hit 'save as'. (same applies to the group attachments)

that should allow you to download and save the file to your hard disk.  just rename the file because it will look like 32 character string : 4DD66082C36147DFACBBF73F839F1EA0.rm

Hello llv.tech mam,

I may have some bad news for a lot of people like myself using ancient software.

Windows Media is no longer supporting the viewer for people still using W98.

Several websites are using the upgraded viewer and we with W98 are told to upgrade our viewer to see the clip. Go to Windows Media and find there is no upgrade.

I am now using Real and VideoLan. VideoLan seems to have a great picture quality but I am still learning how to use it.

Hi there.

I am wondering if you will be replacing the Real Media clips with WMV,  or at least offer WMVs on all of the sample movie clips which currently have only Real Media clips?  I see some with both offered, and some with just RM, and some just with WMV.

I personally think WMV is a better media platform than Real.

Thanks!
